Anesthesia claims typically require minutes to be reported in the Units field. For procedure codes between 00100 and 01999, EZClaim will automatically use ‘MJ’ as the Units qualifier to designate minutes in the ANSI 837 file (Loop 2400, Segment SV1, Field 03). The ‘Units Measurement’ field can also be added to the grid if you need to use ‘MJ’ for any other codes not within that range.
