Determining the Authorization Status

If a patient has authorizations entered in the authorization library, their appointments will show an icon representing the authorized status.

 - Green ‘A’ - Appointment has an authorization number and is valid – in other words, within both the date range and the number of allowable visits.

 - Yellow ‘A’ - Appointment has an authorization number, it is valid, but it is one of the last three authorized visits.  This alerts you that a new authorization may need to be obtained.

 - Red ‘A’ - Appointment is not authorized.  This could mean it falls outside the date range, surpasses the number of visits allowed, or does not have an authorization number assigned.
